Third Stakes Winner For El Kabeir
The Listed Premio Repubbliche Marinare returned two Stakes winners in a dead-heat. Calithea and the Sardinian-trained daughter of freshman sire El Kabeir Sa Filonzana crossed the line together, while the favourite Spring Love, a well-regarded filly who took her chance despite only having an unplaced effort in a newcomers’ race to her record, ran a bit green and finished third, a length further behind. Calithea, purchased by Valfredo Valiani at the Tattersalls October Yearling Sale Book 3, is the third winner out of Caterina De Medici, while Sa Filonzana was a purchased at the Goffs Online Autumn Sale and is the first winner out of the unraced Solar Fire.
Bred by Natalie Cleary, Sa Filonzana is now a four-time winner and was registering a third stakes winner for her sire El Kabeir.
