Busy Start To The New Year

We’ve had a busy start to 2016, with mares foaling, a busy weekend with the ITM stallion trail, Gay being honoured at the ITBA awards with a Lifetime Achievement Award, Mecca’s Angel being awarded the Longines Leading Sprint Filly of 2015 and some winners in Dubai! Here are some pictures of all that’s being going on!

We were so proud when the superstar filly  Mecca’s Angel (Dark Angel x Folga) was awarded the Longines Award for the Fastest Filly in Europe with a rating of 120. She is credit to her trainer Michael Dods and owner David Metcalfe, who have done a superb job with her.  Her dam Folga will visit Dark Angel again this year and we are eagerly following her two year old sister’s progress with upcoming trainer George Peckham.

Gay was honoured to be presented with a Life Time Achievement Award at the ITBA awards in The Heritage Hotel. It was a brilliant night, expertly hosted by Leo Powell and organised by the excellent team in the ITBA (Derek Iceton, Joe Foley, Shane O’Dwyer, Kerry and Regina).

Dark Angel, Gutaifan and Camacho strutted their stuff during the Irish Thoroughbred Marketing Stallion trail. It was a highly successful weekend and we had a great crowd of interested breeders and students through the doors.

Dark Angel has had successful start to the year with some exciting winners in Meydan. Steady Pace thrilled a home crowd when beating Rouleau for a Godolphin 1-2 in the UAE 2,000 Guineas Trial and Fanciful Angel brought home a Dark Angel 1-2 when beating Dark Emerald in Meydan Hotel Handicap last Thursday.
