For well over 30 years Yeomanstown Stud has developed into a renowned nursery that has consistently produced a host of top class runners that have distinguished themselves the world over.
Set in 600 acres of lush Kildare pasture land which is complimented by state of the art yard facilities, Yeomanstown was established as a stud farm in 1923 was purchased by its current owners Gay and Annette O’Callaghan in 1981 from Mr and Mrs Levins-Moore.
Now under the management of Gay and Annette’s son, David, Yeomanstown boasts a rich and distinguished history. The likes of the brilliant Tudor Melody and the top class M-Lolshan were bred here and that tradition has been maintained up to the present day.
Top class two-year-olds such as Capricciosa, Bad As I Wannabe, Dark Angel, Definite Article and Passion For Gold are all former Yeomanstown graduates as are the great stayer Vinnie Roe, dual Nunthorpe heroine Mecca’s Angel, the top notch Hong Kong runner Dim Sum and the Prix Maurice de Gheest hero Garswood. Pipalong, Flanders and Sandhurst Goddess, all bred by Yeomanstown and each of whom excelled on the track before going on to achieve even greater acclaim at stud as outstanding producers, who have founded legacies whose influence will be felt at the highest level for some time to come.
Also the home of one of Europe’s most exciting and successful stallions in Dark Angel, Gr.1 Middle Park winner Supremacy and Gr.2 Prix Harcourt winner Shaman. Yeomanstown is a reliable and constant source of top class talent and is among the premier consignors at the major European yearling and breeze up sales each autumn.
